As you can see, a little bit of a difference. However, I hope all of this will be changed when I am done with it. Most likely a different dashboard, a center console, new steering wheel and seats that recline.

I have been playing with some ideas for the dash board, center consol and arm rest areas. Here are a few ideas I came up with.

Arm/elbow rest that will also cover the parking brake. The cut out in the front center of the arm rest will allow the parking brake handle
to be pulled/set and not interfere with the arm rest. There will be a storage box under the arm rest as well. Not too big or deep, but just
a little something for spare change and miscellaneous stuff.

These are earlier ideas for the dash board, that do not include the above arm rest.

I like the idea of this one more. The shift knob is of course WAY too large, but it was just a rough draft.
